I ran across your journal while browsing Dreamwidth, and your review of the Trader Joe's book is AMAZING and I have to read it now! I'm sad that my dad never got to read it -- he was a Caltech econ major who shopped at the original Trader Joe's in the early 70's, and the breeziness of the excerpts reminds me of his writing style.
